Weeks of Welcome (WOW) consisted of six weeks of events, resources, and connections to help Wright State students achieve a sense of belonging and provided valuable information on resources to help them succeed and to connect with other Raiders throughout their academic careers.
Caroline Pacey, the University Libraries' new Research and Instruction Librarian for Engineering, Science and Math, joined the Dunbar Library staff September 15, 2025.
In August, ReyRey Café—the student run coffee shop on campus—moved to the first floor of Dunbar Library. And since they’ve reopened, it has been full steam ahead.
An essential element of the University Libraries' mission is to provide space for students to meet, study, and socialize; a place of belonging and welcome. The Dunbar Library building provided welcoming space to 190,000 people last year, between July 2024 through June 2025.
Join us for the 2025-2026 University Libraries Book Club sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries, the Wright State Alumni Association, and the Wright State University Retirees Association.
Between July 2024 and June 2025, Special Collections and Archives (SCA) engaged with Wright State students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members from the Miami Valley region, across Ohio, the United States, and internationally.
This spring the University Libraries received a "Celebrating Ohio Book Awards & Authors" grant from the State Library of Ohio. This LSTA-funded grant enables the libraries to purchase books by Ohio authors as well as books recognized by Ohio-based book awards.
