Friends of the Libraries Appoint New Board Member

The Friends of the Libraries recently appointed Dr. David L. Garrison to the Friends of the Libraries Board of Directors as the Wright State University Retirees Association Representative.

Dr. David Lee Garrison (Ph.D., Johns Hopkins University) taught Spanish and Portuguese at Wright State from 1979-2009 and chaired the Department of Modern Languages from 1999-2007.  He is President of the Wright State University Retirees Association and an active scholar.  He has published books and articles on Spanish Literature; he has translated Spanish poets Vicente Aleixandre, José Bergamín, and Pedro Salinas; and, his poetry has been published widely.  His latest collection of poems is Light in the River (Dos Madres Press).
