We are pleased to welcome Gabriella Stauffer as the new Archives Assistant in Special Collections and Archives. In this role, she will support the department’s public services, archival processing, digitization, and outreach initiatives.
Gabriella earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Technology from The Ohio State University, graduating magna cum laude. She brings experience in special collections, museum exhibitions, digitization, metadata creation, digital preservation, and the careful handling of rare and unique materials.
Her background includes work as an Exhibition Assistant and Student Assistant for Digital Imaging at The Ohio State University’s Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum. There, she digitized rare materials, created and reviewed metadata, documented preservation concerns, fulfilled patron imaging requests, assisted with exhibitions, and supported access to museum and library collections.
Gabriella looks forward to helping preserve the documentary heritage of the Miami Valley while making the University Libraries’ collections more accessible to students, researchers, and the broader community.
Her experience, enthusiasm, and careful attention to detail will make her a valued member of the University Libraries and Special Collections and Archives teams. Welcome, Gabriella!
