First flight of the Wright Brothers

How do I cite my sources?

In order to cite the sources you have used, whether you have a book, journal article, web site or any other type of material, you need to answer a few questions.

What if I need to write an annotated bibliography?

Both a bibliography and an annotated bibliography list citations to books, articles, newspapers, Internet sites, or any other resources you used to write your paper.

However, an annotated bibliography has an extra feature. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 150 words) paragraph that describes and evaluates the resource. This is called the annotation. Annotations are not the same as abstracts. An abstract is just a descriptive summary that doesn't offer any critical view of the source. Abstracts are often used at the beginning of a journal article or book to summarize what the source's content is.

The purpose of the annotation is to provide the reader with more information about the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources you cited.
